Unexpectedly materialized work is an important stage in the lives of interpreters. Gabija Liutkevičiūtė, full of enthusiasm and love for music, shares that it was difficult to outdo herself.

“First of all, this is my first author’s work that I will share with everyone. For me, as an infinitely self-critical person, it means a lot. For a long time I did not feel ready to share my work, I often stopped, which over time made me even more distrustful and pushed my dreams away.

The artist, who has lived in London for some time, highlights that it was her presence that led her to develop and work more with herself.
Perhaps inspired by London and its freedom, I found more courage in myself, learned to relax and just enjoy what I do. The first step is always the hardest, so for me, this debut piece is like my first step as a performer, which I overcame through all my complexes and fears.
Gabija’s musical journey began as a child. It was then that music became especially important.
“I’ve been making music for as long as I can remember. I was always fascinated by that, so naturally I started to go in that direction. The music school, the ensembles, the groups and with them many different contests and concerts, not only in Lithuania, but also in other countries, they have become an integral part of my life ”.

At the age of sixteen, Gabija Liutkevičiūtė became a member of the group HIT, where he became acquainted with the popular music scene in Lithuania. But now a new stage begins, which is currently very important for Gabija: a solo career. More recently, the interpreter went to study in London, where her studies at a prestigious university changed her approach to music and life.
After leaving, the performer felt even more strongly how important her solo musical path was to her.
“Now, like never before, I want to reveal myself not only as a personality, but also as a performer, as a creator. This is how my original song “Can’t Cope With You” was born, out of a great desire to create and be heard, “says Gabija Liutkevičiūtė.

“Actually, this song has been in my phone notes for quite some time. While studying in London, he spent a lot of time on the tube, so he used this time to write.
One day, among the endless notes, I found several lines of this song written before, and I did not even realize how the melody came from the lyrics, and after the whole song ”, Gabija shares the story of the song and does not hide that long trips to the London Underground gave different thoughts to music.
The single hits the world alongside an emotional clip directed by Pius Weber. Mutual trust in Gabija was paramount when creating the clip. The artist shares that from the beginning of her relationship with P. Weber, she was calm about the result of the final video clip.
The creators of the clip reflected the main feelings of the character of the song as: frustration, sadness, difficulty or loneliness.

When asked about the difficulties at the filming site, the interpreter said that the team managed the filming location perfectly, so she was able to focus on her work as a performer and actress.
“And what about the difficulties, maybe there were any, everything was controlled by a great team, so I, as a performer, could be calm with everything and enjoy the filming process. I think there are challenges when you want to do something interesting and beautiful, so it is important that people work together. I am very grateful to the entire team, without which there would be no one to reach the listeners today ”.
Artist Gabija Li is still reluctant to talk about her musical future.
“I am quietly dreaming about the album and I really believe that I will make it come true. I know exactly that I want to sing not only in English, but also in my mother tongue, so I can promise that you will hear me sing in Lithuanian as well,” the interpreter shares.
