New quarantine changes: aims to stop restricting the opening hours of cafes, to introduce vaccination procedures for people who have been sick

According to the document prepared by the Ministry of Health, it is proposed not to limit the working hours of catering establishments and nightclubs. So far, it is limited to between 7 and 24 hours.

It is proposed to ensure that the maturity exams are carried out in classrooms where a student, when there are more than 10 in his room, will have at least 10 m2 M. meter.

It is proposed to allow non-formal education of children in the form of contact and to allow the number of children in children’s camps to increase from 15 to 30.

It is also proposed that less stringent quarantine measures may be applied to people who have relapsed COVID-19, but no more than 210 days have passed since then (now 180 days).

It is proposed to extend the validity period of the negative COVID-19 test required to obtain a passport from 24 to 48 hours.

It is also proposed to establish a procedure for obtaining the Opportunity Passport for people who have already had COVID-19 and have received the vaccine. They will be able to get the Passport of Opportunity two weeks after a single dose of Comirnaty, COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna, COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen or Vaxzevria.

It is also proposed to allow foreigners who have a vaccination certificate or a digital COVID-19 certificate from the European Union to apply the same more lenient quarantine conditions that apply to Lithuanian residents holding an opportunity passport. This document would not be necessary for foreigners under 16 years of age.

It is also proposed that all persons coming to Lithuania from countries included in the list of countries affected by COVID-19 approved by the Minister of Health should have a PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 in a period not exceeding 72 hours. (from the moment of sampling). or an antigen test performed no earlier than 48 hours (from the time of sampling).
