The World Health Organization reported a record rise in global coronavirus cases to 212,326 in 24 hours on Saturday. In the United States, 43,742 new cases of coronavirus infection were identified in COVID-19 on the last day, according to data published by Johns Hopkins University.

According to data released by the University of Baltimore on Saturday night, the total number of infected people reached 2,836,764.

A further 252 deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of COVID-19 victims in the United States to 129,657.

A record number of new infections have been recorded in the past three days in a row, with 57,683 confirmed cases on Friday. The slightly lower number of Saturdays may be due to the fact that fewer cases have been reported in the country on Independence Day.

The United States is the most affected by the coronavirus, both in terms of confirmed infections and deaths.

According to a daily report published by the WHO, the number of those infected increased the most on Saturday in the United States, Brazil and India, reports Reuters. The previous daily record was set on June 28, when 189,077 cases were identified. According to the Worldometer, the number of people infected with COVID-19 worldwide on Saturday morning was 11,387 million, with 533,619 deaths.

President Donald Trump on Saturday accused China of covering COVID-19, which spread the disease worldwide, but praised the “high level of education” of Americans.

“We will probably have a treatment and / or vaccination solution well before the end of the year,” he promised.
