Rolanda Lingienė, Director of the Vilnius Department of the National Center for Public Health (NVSC), informed BNS about it on Monday.
“The person flew through Amsterdam on June 20. The first symptoms appeared on the 24th. He was not contagious during the flight.” … The infectious period begins three days before the first symptoms, “he said.
According to R. Lingienė, the person who returned to Lithuania visited the bars of the capital “Špunka”, “Peronas”, “Bukowski”, the restaurant “Gray” and the store “Rimi”, located on Didžioji Street.
“The friends have been confirmed as contacts. The places visited were contacted, the people in contact were selected and the staff of the bars that had contact were isolated,” said a representative from NVSC.
According to Monday, a total of 1,816 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus, 216 people are still sick, 1,512 have recovered and 63 people are isolated.
78 people died from coronaviruses, and ten more from coronavirus-infected people died from other causes.
As of June 1, 26 import cases had been registered in Lithuania.
