Justina Petravičienė, a specialist at the National Public Health Center (NVSC), confirmed to the tv3.lt portal that three of the people who died last day were under 60 years old, two from Šiauliai county and one from Tauragė. 2 of the deaths of the previous day did not belong to the risk group either by age or by comorbidities.

“According to the information we have received from medical institutions, three of those who died yesterday did not belong to a risk group by age, that is, they were under 60 years old. And 2 of those three people no longer belonged because they did not have concomitant diseases that led to the outcome of the disease, “he clarified.

Youth League

The specialist pointed out that the number of cases of this type is increasing, in which people who do not seem to belong to any risk group seem to be dying.

“We see that if before, both during the first wave and until November, there were more deaths in the age groups that belong to the risk group, now there is a tendency for the youngest people without chronic diseases to die,” said J. Petravičienė.

According to her, in November, the total number of people under 60 years. There were around 12 people who died from Covid-19, so they are now approaching 40. However, most of them had comorbidities.

“Only on the last day we had 3, yesterday we had even younger people. So the disease is getting younger in that sense and those results can be sad not only for people of respectable age and for those with some kind of chronic disease But there are definitely not the majority of those who do not belong to the risk group according to any criteria, “he said.

According to the NVSC specialist, the tendency to lose young people so suddenly really scares and makes us think personally.

It is not completely known if he is really healthy

However, J. Petravičienė cautioned that information on chronic diseases may not be completely accurate.

“It just came to our notice then. We provided the information that we received from the treatment facilities. It’s, as they say, maybe a young man died of Covid-19, but the medical records just don’t show any other disease. Maybe they weren’t even diagnosed. . Because people are very upset that the dead have diseases. Apparently, no one knows our health completely, “said the NVSC specialist.

Death came suddenly

The portal tv3.lt recalls that yesterday the death of a 37-year-old man at the Šiauliai Hospital was announced. The man was also reported to have no comorbidities, and death struck him suddenly.
