Currently, the Minister is publicly advised by public advisers Audrius Bitinas and Vytautas Šilinskas.
Some of the team members will begin work in the ministry soon, while others will begin after the planned inspection procedures.
Vice Minister Vilma Augienė has been Vice Minister since 2017 in the team of former Minister Linas Kukuraitis.
He supervised the protection of the rights of the child, the integration of the disabled and refugees. Before joining the Deputy Minister, V. Augienė was Deputy Director of the Vilnius Municipal Administration and headed the Departments of Social Support and Protection of Children’s Rights of the Municipality of Vilnius. The Vice Minister graduated in pedagogy and preschool psychology from the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences and continues her studies at Mykolas Romeris University, with a master’s degree in child rights protection.
Vytautas Šilanskas, who will also be a deputy minister, is a lawyer, former associate partner of the law firm TGS Baltic, and studied at Harvard Business School. He is currently pursuing a senior master’s degree in management at the Baltic Institute of Management.
The Chancellor of the Ministry, Ana Selčinskienė, previously worked as the administrative director of the State Energy Regulatory Council and the Competition Council, headed the Radioactive Waste Management Agency, worked as an advisor in the Lithuanian Energy Agency and other state institutions. A. Selčinskienė – Master of Public Administration, graduated from ISM University of Administration and Economics.
Jurgita Varžgalytė-Tžiakijienė, who will be an inter-institutional cooperation advisor, is a long-term advisor to former Seimas president Irena Degutienė. J. Varžgalytė-Tžiakijienė was Head of the Secretariat to the President of Seimas in 2009-2012, and in 2012-2020 she was Advisor to the Vice President of Seimas. M. Navickienė’s advisor graduated from VU TSPMI with a BA in Political Science and an LLM from VU Law School.
Advisor to the Minister of Public Relations Tomas Kavaliauskas – long-time LRT journalist, presenter of radio and television programs, reporter, worked as spokesperson for the National Museum of Lithuania, radio presenter and editor at the radio station Radiocentro RC2, later editor from the Baltic television program and since 2018 Ignitis Group ”, ESO’s Public Relations Project Manager. The advisor T. Kavaliauskas is a Master of History at VU.
At that time, public advisor Audrius Bitinas is a lawyer and researcher at the VU Law School. He graduated from the VU Faculty of Law, studied in France and has a doctorate in social sciences. A. Bitinas worked on the Board of the State Social Security Fund, Lithuanian Bar Association, in 2011-2013 he was Deputy Minister of Social Security and Labor.
