The opposition team announced on Facebook that A. Navalnas, 189 cm tall, weighed 93 kg when he arrived at the correctional colony.

“It just came to our attention then. Minus eight kilograms before the hunger strike,” the team said.

In recent weeks, there have been reports in the media about Navaln’s deteriorating health. He complains of severe back pain and numbness in his legs. On Wednesday, the opposition declared a hunger strike, demanding that he be given adequate medical treatment and allowed to be examined by a doctor of his choice.

The allies claim that A. Navalnas attributes the weight loss to being prevented and not getting enough sleep.

“They still don’t allow a doctor’s visit,” the team said, adding that Navaln’s diagnosis was still unclear.

The team’s report said he now set out to treat Navalna with nicotinic acid. Before that, he only took painkillers.
