The event in Singapore will be the first live meeting of world leaders in 2021. The President of Lithuania intends to participate in it if the conditions of the pandemic and possible travel restrictions allow it, reports the Presidency.

Starting in 2022, as in previous years, meetings of world leaders are scheduled to be held again in Davos.

At the World Economic Forum in Singapore, politicians, heads of international organizations and business leaders will discuss how to restore trust in the global system that has been damaged by the pandemic, what steps to take to revitalize the global economy and ensure greater resilience and coherence. and sustainability. The most relevant challenges on the forum’s agenda today are: COVID-19 pandemic, Industrial Revolution IV, world economy, environmental issues.

According to the Presidency report, in Singapore, President G. Nausėda intends to participate in the discussions of the World Economic Forum, informal meetings with world political and business leaders, where opportunities to invest in Lithuania, as well as business expansion in Lithuania, finance technology, research and innovation in the field.
