The Head of State is expected to interact with the conservative candidate for Minister of Education, Science and Sports Jurgita Šiugždinienė, the candidate for Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkis and the chairman of the Freedom Party, Aušrine Armonaitė, proposed to head the Ministry of Economy and Innovation.

“The president will speak with the ministerial candidates on priority issues in the area supervised by the ministries,” spokesman Antanas Bubnelis told BNS.

Last week, the president met with Evelina Dobrovolska, candidate for Minister of Justice, Kaspars Adomaitis, candidate for Minister of Transport, Simon Kairis, candidate for Minister of Culture, and Monika Navickienė, candidate for Minister of Social Security and Labor.

Prior to the meetings with the president, the advisers to the head of the country also conducted interviews with the candidates.

During his visit to Alytus on Friday, G. Nausėda told reporters that not all ministerial candidates put forward by Prime Minister-designate Ingrida Šimonytė will be approved.

“All I can say is that, to the greatest extent, I can already see that it will not be approved,” the head of state told reporters on Friday.

It did not disclose which candidates could be rejected.
