According to the report, the Nasdaq Group’s technology and business services division in Vilnius is developing, testing and implementing technology solutions that are currently used by more than 130 global financial markets.
According to Arminta Saladžienė, Nasdaq vice president and head of the Lithuanian office, the development of Nasdaq’s services in Lithuania was determined by the country’s advantages in the global business services and information and communication technology sectors.
“Vilnius has two key advantages necessary for a global business and IT service center: a well-developed infrastructure and talented and highly qualified specialists in information technology and finance. It is because of these advantages that we have been able to develop the services provided by the Center for Technology and Business Competence so quickly and successfully, ”says A. Saladžienž in the report.
According to her, the new phase of development will further strengthen the competencies of data analysis, financial technology development, cyber security and cloud engineering.
The Nasdaq Business and Technology Competence Center in Vilnius was established in 2015. In 5 years, the number of employees of Nasdaq companies operating in Lithuania has grown from 30 to 390, making the Lithuanian office the second office Nasdaq largest in Europe and the third in the world.
