“The armed forces of Russia, faithful to the commitments of the Allies, will carry out all tasks aimed at defending the interests of our peoples and guaranteeing the security of the state of the Union in all circumstances,” Kartapolov said during the forum of regional policy of both countries.
“As the leaders of our states have said, Russia and Belarus will continue cooperation in the military field. And we will organize most of the joint events scheduled for this year,” said the Deputy Minister of Defense.
He noted that Moscow and Minsk are responding to the deployment of NATO forces in Europe, including joint exercises. The Vice Minister recalled that one of these trainings, the Slavic Brotherhood, had recently ended and that other exercises will be carried out in October.
“In addition, work is under way to improve the joint training system of our armed forces in 2021 and beyond,” emphasized A. Kartapolov.
He also reported that the two countries are cooperating more closely in the field of military technology. According to the deputy minister, “various types of business integration are being successfully developed in the military-industrial complex.”
