The government restrictions, which will take effect on Monday, September 13, will affect the operation of 75 Maxima stores. Its area exceeds the established 1500 m2. subway. zone. Eligible customers will need to show Opportunity Passports or other equivalent documents at these stores.
“Employees with special vests will stand at the entrance of the Maxima stores, who will scan the QR codes of the Opportunity Passports and review other documents that are equivalent to the Opportunity Passport. We will try to do the Opportunity Passport verification as quickly as possible and we expect the understanding and goodwill of our customers if we have to wait in line, ”says Ernesta Dapkienė, Director of the Communication and Image Department at Maxima.
According to E. Dapkienė, persons inspecting the documents have the right to ask the buyer to present an identity document together in case of questions. 58 stores will be inspected by Maxima and security companies, and 17 stores will be inspected by building managers. Opportunity passports will be reviewed during store hours. Two employees are scheduled to work in the Maxima stores during peak hours, who will review all documents.

Those who do not have the necessary documents will be directed to other nearby Maxima stores.
