Marijus Žiedas, PhD, constantly analyzes the model of society: “It saddens me very much that many people give in to conspiracy theories. It attracts some strange ideas. Where do they get caught? I do not get it. I think it’s just an expression of people’s fear and anxiety. Of course, they are looking for simple answers because people are too lazy to dig deep. And when they look for simple answers, someone loses them, people get tangled up in them, and they think that’s the case.

Of course, there is no way out, says Mary: “I always say: read books. Because now, in the world of social networks, it is very easy to enter that bubble of your own when there are only followers around you, and throughout the history of mankind, the man with his idea had to go through a huge filter. He had to argue with those around him, he had to find arguments to substantiate his idea, he had to listen to the arguments of others, he might even have to adjust his mind. It was a process, and then the truth was born. Now you don’t need it. You can find what you want, and there will always be thousands of people who will agree. And that’s why we no longer know how to debate.

Society is divided, it is no longer going to discover a common language because people have already forgotten how to have a pleasant, correct, educated cultural discussion: that you have to respect the interlocutor, even if you do not like their opinion or do not agree with it . Everything disappears and it is very sad. One can listen and then find the truth. And when we preserve ours in those imaginations and stereotypes, it collapses. That society is moving. “
