Malžinskas, who sees only one way: I am sorry to see what our football has become

P. Malžinskas, who has recently spoken out loud about the LFF’s problems, received much criticism and even insult from delegates during the conference. The candidate was asked questions for almost an hour, when his opponent T. Danilevičius received only the wish of his friend Rimantas Žvingilas not to become a “political whore”.

No delegate to the LFF conference mentioned P. Malžinskas’ intentions to participate in the Seimas elections to be held in the fall, and the head of VRFS spoke about this and more on his personal Facebook account.

“I apologize to all of you. The whole Lithuanian football community and the society that yesterday had to see what our football has become. I have to say frankly: it hurts and I feel a great sense of shame.

Yesterday’s LFF conference is a few hours in a parallel world. In an era where incompetence, audacity and insults, personalities and hatred, a mix of Bachura and Soviet mentality merged.

LFF lawyer Algimantas Šindeikis, who must represent justice and legality, begins to argue from the rostrum that the statutes presented by VRFS may not comply with the law because they are not notarized, although said obligation is not established in VRFS, and one member – one vote, although clauses 4.3 and 4.4 of the Statutes of the Association of Municipalities of Lithuania say otherwise.

There are allegations that I do not respect soccer and conference participants because I do not have the LFF badge. If the VK member’s gold badge, BMW cars, and registered numbers with the LFF badge are something we should be proud of today and what Lithuanian football should be fighting for, I have to regret.

I must also apologize to the entire community of football referees for my colleague, Sergei Slyva, the inspector for UEFA’s international category referees, publicly launching fictitious charges, which later turn into personal insults. Cheap goods It was only necessary to mention the sudden jumps in his career and the fact that he could not become a member of the LFF VK for ethical reasons, since his uncle, the president of the LFTA, Sergei Sliva, was already working in the position of VK .

And it was all crowned by Rimantas Žvingilas’s wishes to the new LFF president-elect, Tomas Danilevičius, not to be a political prostitute (R. Žvingilas was a candidate for Klaipėda City Council in 2019) and the closing remarks by Arūnas Pukelis from the rostrum, which concluded all discussions.

At the end of this post, I apologize again to all of you. Unfortunately, the truth is that we need to understand and realize that most of the people who attended the LFF conference still live in the shadows of the past. And I’ll be open, I doubt they can change.

Therefore, the path is only one. Try to change the situation of Lithuanian football from abroad. I openly say that I will strive to ensure that the LFF governance reforms are on the table of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and are included on the agendas of politicians and other state and municipal institutions. Only through close work and cooperation with the FIFA / UEFA authorities can change be achieved. Otherwise, it is a road to nowhere, “wrote P. Malžinskas.
