Majauskas: next year’s budget – one billion. euro crisis management

According to him, the budget for the purchase of the coronavirus vaccine is 65 million. The previous government has signed contracts for this amount. According to M. Majauskas, if necessary, the amount for vaccines can be provided even more.

“The deficit of public finances is higher than planned, but lower than it is now, that is, in 2020, as planned. It certainly won’t surprise me if the deficit reaches 7%. and more. We will not do anything here, we will need an additional loan in the spring, but we will do it easily, ”said M. Majauskas.

According to him, the budget may need to be revised in the spring of next year.

According to him, the government headed by Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė should consider and approve the revised budget for 2021 already this Wednesday, and it is expected to be approved by the Seimas on December 22.
