Having experienced a part of the deportation, he actively joined the Sąjūdis movement and participated in the activities of the Eržvilkas Community Center. He was elected to the first Jurbarkas District Council after the restoration of independence and participated in decisions that were very important for the district in 1990-1995. S.Č.Strodomskis was elected a member of the Municipal Council and the Municipal Board in 1995-1997, in 2000-2003.
The doctor did his duty to help others honorably until he himself was caught in this dangerous disease.
“We have lost the Doctor, the light of the Eržvilkas community and a great person who has dedicated his entire life to the people of the Jurbarkas region,” said Skirmantas Mockevičius, mayor of the Jurbarkas district municipality, expressing his condolences for the lost.
