A month late

Asta says his family has been making edible cakes for five years, decorating cakes and pies. As they specify, they are produced and shipped to bakers all over Lithuania, and it happens that 15 or 20 shipments travel to different places in Lithuania every day.

According to her, they have always sent priority packages registered with her husband to the Lithuanian post (LP), and they have reached their recipients quickly, but for some time, as they say, they have faced big problems.

“Our packages have started to get delayed, and even today their journey to the customer takes from a week to a month within the country. And now we have customers who have not received shipments in a month.

It should be understood that these are confectionery, food. They do not know how long they will be at the post office and, finally, when they are ordered by bakers, it is important that they receive a package by a certain day so that they can decorate the product, ”said the annoyed reader.

Asta said that he is currently using the services of private companies to deliver products, but as he assured, this is not the way out.

“There are people who live further away where there are no emails, and then there is no way out, you have to send LP.

In this case, the victims are those who have to receive the shipment, who have paid the money, but the shipment does not arrive on time and then they have to deal with how to decorate one or another product.

It hurts our business, ”he said.

Problems – isolated

Ugnė Bartašiūtė, head of the communication department of the Lithuanian post, assured Delfi that she regretted the inconvenience caused to the customer.

“Unfortunately, we cannot comment specifically on this situation because we know very little about the details of the shipment.

You are kindly invited to contact the Lithuania Post Contact Center; We always try to help and answer questions, ”he said, saying that the temporary problems with the package distribution that occurred today in March in Lietuvos Paštas are now under control and the distribution situation stabilized.

“Many packages and letters travel normally. This is also reflected in various indicators of our performance: for example, the number of customer complaints received in the first half of April returned to normal and was twice lower than in March. Average. , as well as a steady decline in call flows at the customer service center.

At the same time, it is important to mention that problems with the delivery of individual packages may continue to occur, especially in view of the record global flow of packages and letters.

In the first three months of this year, we have already distributed more than 14 million. packages and letters “, – commented U. Bertašiūtė and urged to pay attention indicating the correct delivery address of the package, because due to this part of the packages still have to be redistributed manually.

“In any case, we do everything possible to ensure that all shipments and letters reach the addressees as soon as possible,” added the specialist.
