The silver went to the Ukrainian Mychailo Serbin (1: 00.19 sec.), And the bronze went to the Pole Vojciech Makowski (1: 00.77 sec.).
For the Ramūnas Leonas student, this is the third gold in this European Championship. On the first day of competition, the Lithuanian was the fastest in the 50-meter freestyle match and set a record for the Old Continent. On Tuesday, E. “While driving here, I really wasn’t expecting three gold medals. The goal was to improve personal results and get closer to the Paralympic Games. Already those first two gold medals were something incredible. But when I swam more than a minute for the first time during this morning’s selection, I wanted more, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to win another gold medal for Lithuania, ”shared E. Matakas his impressions.
E. Matak’s trophy collection also includes the 2017 World Championship gold. He won in Mexico in the 50-meter freestyle and bronze in the 100-meter freestyle.
