David Sirvydis, 20, will make his debut in the world’s strongest basketball league next season.
ESPN journalist Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Lithuanian signed a three-year contract with the Detroit Pistons Club.
This information was confirmed by ESPN by Lithuanian agents Michaelis Tellemas and Marius Rutkauskas.
James Edwards, a journalist for The Athletic, also confirmed the information published by Wojnarowski, noting that the last year of the contract is not guaranteed.
Sirvydis became the fourth Lithuanian in the NBA, where he joined Jonas Valančiūnas, Domantas Sabonis and Ignas Brazdeikis, who compete here.
Lithuania was invited by the Dallas Mavericks to the 2019 NBA Rookie Trade on the 37th call, but the player’s rights were immediately transferred to the Pistons.
This season, Sirvydis started two games at the Hapoel Club in Jerusalem and the Champions League. The average basketball player who spent 10 minutes on the court scored a total of 1 point.
Last season Vilnius’ 204cm tall basketball player “Rytas” scored 6.6 points in 15 minutes, bounced 2.8 balls and scored 5.7 utility points.
Sirvydis played the last match on November 11, when he met the Limoges CSP club.
