The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has announced 2022. lottery baskets for the next European Championship.
The Lithuanian team, along with Russia, Italy and the Czech Republic, are included in the second basket.
The teams were classified according to the FIBA ranking, in which the Lithuanian national team is eighth in the world and fifth among European teams.
The first basket included the European heavyweights: Spain, Serbia, Greece and France.
It is already clear that the Lithuanian team will play the group stage in Cologne, Germany, and one of their competitors will be the host German team.
