Lithuania has established diplomatic relations with Esvatinis

Ambassador Audra Plepytė, Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the United Nations (UN), and UN Ambassador Melusis Martin Masuku, Representative of Esvatinis, signed on Thursday a joint statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations in New York.

During the meeting, diplomats discussed public health, climate challenges and UN climate change priorities, discussed strengthening cooperation and mutual support in international organizations, opportunities for bilateral political and economic cooperation, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Kingdom of Esvatinis is the 188th country with which Lithuania has established diplomatic relations. Esvatinis, which changed its name from Swaziland in 2018, is one of the smallest countries in Africa.
