Lawyer: Alexei Navaln’s health in the colony is deteriorating

According to her, A. Navaln’s lawyers are in Pokrov’s second correctional colony, where the opposition is imprisoned, but is not allowed to enter.

Navaln’s comrade Leonid Volkov said he believed the opposition might have been transferred to the prison hospital, but the administration wanted to hide the fact.

Last month, a Kremlin critic was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for violating probation while receiving treatment abroad. He was previously sentenced to probation in 2014 in a robbery case that was labeled fabricated and illegal by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

Navaln’s arrest sparked a series of protests across the country involving tens of thousands of people. Authorities detained about 11,000. people; many of them received fines or 7 to 15 days in prison.
