When parents will be able to take their children to kindergartens, Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys spoke after the government meeting and promised to specify in a separate report.

There was no phrase left in the revised Government Resolution that pre-school and pre-school education were provided at a distance.

Still, primary education will continue at a distance, the government agreed on Monday.

At the same time, during the Government meeting, the expectation was expressed that the Christmas festivities with the colors and other educational institutions that will operate remotely will not take place.

Education in schools according to the primary, basic and secondary education programs is carried out at a distance, except for pupils educated in special schools and special classes of general education schools.

It also establishes that education must be given in the management of the flow of people and security measures.

The government has clarified decisions on quarantine restrictions

The government meeting at a meeting on Monday clarified some decisions on stricter quarantine conditions.

The exceptions to the restrictions on movement between municipalities include all health care services: not only will essential medical assistance be available, but also planned.

A provision has also been introduced that will allow officials to assess whether the reason given by residents for the trip is serious enough, even if it does not meet the conditions set out in the Government Resolution.

“There is an evaluative provision in which it would allow the official to evaluate, if there is a situation in which a person is suspended, if it really is some special circumstance that he must go to another municipality,” Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė said at the meeting . .

In addition, as there are no restrictions on traveling abroad, movement between municipalities is allowed in the case of traveling to the airport.

It has been clarified that no more than two people or people from the same family may meet outdoors in the open air.

The decision on emergency work includes a provision that it is mandatory to ensure emergency functions, which will allow notaries, bailiffs and other necessary legal services to function.

The government has also decided to expand the required area per customer from 10 square meters to 15 square meters.

“Yesterday the resolution was reduced to ten, but still the people of the Ministry of Health say that it is necessary to maintain the epidemiological situation from what it is now, that is, fifteen,” said I. Šimonytė.

The government also clarified that beauty services and other services that require more than 15 minutes of contact between the customer and the service provider cannot be provided. Exceptions apply to medical, psychological, rehabilitation, attorney services, as well as when a mobile signature is required.

The government has also relaxed the provision of accommodation services, allowing them to be provided to people from a single household. The decision made on Sunday restricted the provision of accommodation services to self-isolation only. According to I. Šimonytė, this decision was made after assessing that accommodation services are still relevant for people working in other municipalities and foreigners.

Also at Monday’s meeting, Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys presented a proposal for the extension of the quarantine. The prime minister acknowledged that on Sunday the government’s decision was taken without following the procedures that make this provision mandatory.

The government decided on Sunday to extend and tighten the quarantine. Most stores, with the exception of grocery stores and pharmacies, will be closed starting Wednesday, preventing people from leaving home without good reason.

Residents of a house will be allowed to walk in open areas within the municipality without meeting other people.

The old restrictions remain

It is important to note that the quarantine restrictions approved in November also remain in effect.

The activities of mass catering services are prohibited, except the provision of take away food.

The activities of sports clubs, swimming pools, places of recreation and entertainment are prohibited.

Protective masks should be worn in public places.

They are not necessary for children under 6 years of age, they provide services to people when they exercise, when it is not possible to provide a mask service, when it is not possible to wear a mask due to a medical condition, outside of residential areas, when there are no other people than relatives within a radius of 20 m, for kindergarten and primary children under 6 years of age.

Visits to patients in health institutions are prohibited, except for terminally ill patients, children under 14 years of age and mothers with the permission of the head of the institution or another person authorized by him.
