The Kaunas City Polyclinic reported that they expected patients to join the queue to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

“We would like to inform you that according to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania in 2020. December 23 by order no. V-3006 “Regarding the approval of the priority population group for vaccination with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Infection) vaccine purchased under the state budget”, in order to ensure the priorities and ranking of patients, we are beginning to register patients aged 65 and over (first to be vaccinated 80 years and over) who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19 infection ”, the institution shared on the social network.

Please note that only patients who are not co-infected with COVID-19 and who are not allergic to food, medications or vaccines will be vaccinated.

Patients will be notified of the exact date and time of vaccination by SMS. Upon arrival, vaccination will require the completion of a control questionnaire to control contraindications to adult vaccination and consent to vaccination.

Those who have not registered with the Kaunas City Polyclinic, but wish to be included in the queue for those who want to get vaccinated, should contact the health care institution where they are registered.

The following educators, who will have direct contact with students after resuming school work, will also be vaccinated as a priority:

– staff of educational institutions and other educational providers who have contact with students educated in preschool, preschool and primary education programs;

– people who work in special schools or special classes of general education schools and who have direct contact (permanent or temporary) with students according to primary and basic education, individualized primary and basic education, secondary education, skills development programs social;

– people who work in vocational training institutions and who have direct contact (permanent or temporary) with students in vocational and social skills programs for students with special educational needs.

Together with residents who provide and receive social services, employees of other legal entities that provide cleaning, food or other services in social service institutions who have contact with the residents of the institution or who are in the facilities visited by residents of the institution can also be vaccinated.

The vaccination procedure for people with coronavirus or who have antibodies has been clarified by order of the Minister. People diagnosed with COVID-19 will be able to get vaccinated three months after the date of diagnosis. If the disease has not been diagnosed, but the test shows the presence of antibodies in the body, that person can be vaccinated 60 days after the date of the antibody test result.
