According to him, the government’s decision on Wednesday to postpone the quarantine relief issue, which was to consider opening small shops and beauty salons, shows that rulers are unpredictable and serve big business.
“Today, I can already say that this is no longer a decision not to allow or allow, but a decision that serves large companies. For a company that is operational today and that deals with what it wants. He makes fantastic profits because he has no competition, “R. Karbauskis told Eltai.
According to the politician, it is no longer possible to base the applied quarantine restrictions on indicators that define only the epidemiological situation.
“You cannot look at the situation only through an expert or only through a medical prism.” We are approaching a lot of bankruptcies, some people will be driven out of bankruptcy and emigration, “said the politician.
R. Karbauskis also drew attention to the divergent position of the Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė after the decision taken by the Government to briefly postpone the question of the relaxation of the quarantine. The latter, contrary to the calls of the Council of Experts attached to the Government, postponed the opening of some stores and beauty salons in the opposite direction.
According to Valstietis, this divergent opinion in the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by Ingrida Šimonytė points out a feature of the current Government that distinguishes it from the previous Cabinet of Ministers of Saulius Skvernelis.
“We were bad, not good, we didn’t like anyone, but some people believed in us. We were at least predictable. And this power is unpredictable at all. On the same day, two members of the Government say completely opposite things, on the same day ”, emphasized R. Karbauskis.
The fact that there were also different opinions in the government of S. Skvernelis, for example the intersection of Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Vilius Šapoka regarding pension number 13, is, according to R. Karbauskis, incomparable things. According to him, the government of I. Šimonytė is currently talking about problems that have far greater consequences.
According to R. Karbauskis, due to the avoidance of a more decisive relaxation of the quarantine regime, some people already consider the power dominated by the conservatives “crazy”. Making such a diagnosis, argued the “peasant,” allows readers to leave comments after the news report informing about the government’s decisions. The rulers must take these comments into account, says R. Karbauskis, and it does not matter that, as the politician himself points out, they are also written by people who are not entirely healthy.
“Let the ministers and the prime minister open their comments. I understand that there are people who write comments without being completely healthy. But there are also very healthy comments. Hundreds and thousands of people have temporarily said that this government is crazy and unpredictable; this already is a very serious problem ”, said R. Karbauskis.
Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė announced Wednesday that the quarantine will not be relaxed this week, as new circumstances have become clear in recent days. The prime minister informed that next week some issues of relaxation of the quarantine will be discussed.
