Constantly filling …

We remind you that on the decisive day of the competition, the 34-year-old from Panevėžys began to settle almost to the top of the table: after a successful fencing match, he shared 3-4 places.

The horse route consists of 12 obstacles, but requires 15 jumps. Each athlete has 300 points before riding. Both can be won if you don’t drop any obstacles and don’t exceed the time limit. 7 points are deducted for each obstacle removed, minus 10 for each stop and 1 point for each second of overtime. When a stubborn horse doesn’t jump over obstacles or drop a rider, it may run out of points.

Lithuania got the horse I’m On Top, with which the Hungarian Robertas Kasza has already appeared. The start was restless, the horse was afraid of one of the first obstacles and decided not to jump, but the rider managed to control the trot and overcame the rest of the track with a single obstacle. For exceeding the time limit, the Hungarian finished with 272 points.

J. Kinder, one of the last to start, scored just 247 points in this game. The first barrier was dropped at the beginning of the track and the horse twice refused to dance at the second obstacle. Lithuania had to regroup, but in the end they managed to control the trot: they received a total of 34 penalty points for obstacles (-14 for knocked down barriers and -20 for not performing a show jump) and another 19 for lost time.

With 798 points, J. Kinder fell to 16th place. The Lithuanian was the penultimate of 32 athletes who finished in the equestrian competition.

The first place in the general classification was occupied by the British J. Chong (859 points). The second is the South Korean pentathlete J. Jung (847 points), the third is the Czech J. Kuf (838 points).

The last combined running and shooting match will begin. 13:30 val.

Additional fencing stage

In the additional fencing stage, the athletes in the last two places face off first. The winner goes further, collides with a higher ranked opponent, so the last to survive in these fights has to face the overall leader. Only one point is awarded for victory.

This means that our athlete was able to score a maximum of four points at this stage, of which two were placed in his savings account.

Kinder defeated Jimhwa Jung and Ilya Palazkov, but fell behind Alexander Lifanov.

After this match, the Lithuanian (551 points) takes the position in the general classification – the fourth. Belarusian Palazkov is just one point ahead of us, South Korea’s representative J. Jung is two points away, but Russian A. Lifanov is just one point behind Justin.

J. Choong leads (573 points).
