As the world goes through a particularly difficult period, next Christmas reminds us of the importance of not losing faith and hope. And the country’s main Christmas tree lit on Saturday night was also adapted to today’s themes.

„Surreal fir tree: at the same time, because when reality becomes too thorny and complicated, salvation lies in the creativity and imagination of all of us ”, said the mayor of the capital, Remigijus Šimašius, to light the fir tree.

However, this Christmas tree is not only surprising on the outside – no less impressive is its interior. The arrangement of the fir structures opens up several mirrored spaces, and inside the installation a surprise awaits, which is the complete opposite of the exterior image.

Here you will find a classic Christmas tree decorated with old ornaments, which creates a cozy atmosphere in the Christmas house. As if traveling in time, it goes back to the last century, recalling the ancient traditions.
