In compliance with all security requirements, Margarita Venslovienė, Head of the Department of Social Support of the Municipality of the Kaunas District, congratulated the longevity, handing the wishes of Mayor Valerijus Makūnas and the warm blanket traditionally donated to the centenarians of the district of Kaunas.

According to the Kaunas District Municipality report, Master Juzefa is the first centenary of this year in Kaunas District.

“I am healthy, I do not complain to anyone. The biggest disease is my age. But even though I am a century old, my daughter and I turn the greatest circle, ”the jubilee is proud.

He worked most of the time at the Kulautuva school.

Juzefa, who acquired the specialty of primary school teacher at the Šiauliai Pedagogical Institute, worked in various schools in the Kaunas district. It remains the longest, from 1958. until retirement, he raised his children in the Kulautuva school. The latter was also taught by Joseph’s husband. The couple had daughters who also chose the teaching profession.

“From a young age, my mother took me to school together. I also inspected the children’s sandwiches … But the teacher’s boy was allowed to do everything, “laughed her 100-year-old daughter, Nijolė.

As a teacher, Joseph constantly created scripts for the children’s celebrations. And for his good work he has been awarded many times.

Jubilee does not give up her creative hobbies and now she sometimes writes a blog, creates lines, congratulations. “A few years ago, my mother entered a contest; she wrote a poem for Lithuania,” recalls the daughter.

The house became too difficult to maintain

A quarter of a century ago, after the death of her husband, Juzefa moved to Raudondvaris. He lives here with his daughter Nijole.

How 15min TO LIFE Juzefos Nijolė said, he made that decision with his mother because it became too difficult to maintain a large house, and Raudondvaris was not chosen by chance either: Nijolė worked here as a German teacher.

“So now we both live as women,” the daughter laughed.

After José’s 95th anniversary, the family members decided that a long-lasting birthday should bring family members together every year.

“It has already become a tradition that every year the whole family gets together to celebrate their mother’s birthday. It is a pity that this year there were such circumstances that we could not invite anything. However, we hope that when the situation improves, we can celebrate this year, ”Huzeph’s daughter expected.

According to Nijolė, there are already several deceased relatives in the family, and the mother’s sisters, also long-lived, died alone at the age of 95, and the younger sister has already turned 91. Juzefa has four grandchildren and the same number of great-grandchildren.

Speaking of longevity, Nijole says it is most likely determined by genes. Perhaps, if it weren’t for a specific job, the mother’s parents would have lived longer. Nijolė’s grandparents, who worked as paramedics in the X-ray office, died at the ages of 70 and 76.

More interested in politics

When the weather is nice, Nijole always goes for a walk with her mother and goes around the circle: “We take 2,500 steps, this is how my smartwatch shows.”

Nijole and her mother, who had previously discussed current issues in education, have now turned away from these issues in school.

“We talk more about politics now, mana is from the right. We are very interested in both Lithuanian and foreign politics,” said the interlocutor.

He worked not only at school but also at a boarding school

Although her mother’s health is good, it is easier for Nijole to talk to her, because her mother is hard of hearing.

“She is used to my speech, to the timbre of my voice. I have to say who says what. And it’s hard for her to talk on the phone, “said her daughter.

Juzefa, who has dedicated her life to teaching, says Nijole, does not know what holidays are. Because she worked not only as a teacher, but also as an educator at the old boarding school in Kulautuva:

“My mother never had a vacation, she didn’t know about it. They were preparing lessons with the children at the boarding school, making sure they ate, and after dinner, at 10 o’clock, they were already going home.

The boarding school was across the street from our house, so Mom often looked out the window and at night if they slept there. The teacher’s work has always been stressful, he thinks about his children day and night ”.

I lost my daughter and my granddaughter

The woman also loves flowers, and the plants she grows are very beautiful because she cares for them with great care.

José spends a few hours each day in prayer. According to her daughter, prayer and faith helped her survive even the most difficult moments: when, just after graduating from high school, one of her daughters drowned in the Nemunas, when a 28-year-old grandson died on the mountain.

“It was a great pain that has accompanied me until now. And there were more experiences. My mother’s life was not easy, “Nijolė said.
