When he wrote about the disease on his Facebook account of the social network, E. Žakaris received comments from non-believers that the coronavirus exists.

“People want to believe what they want and what they don’t. The worst of all is that these people, unprotected, but who only speak, may be among those who are carriers of this infection. I really don’t wish anyone such a disease. Let them be glad that no one close to them has found such things. Because when you get sick, everything will change, “said the interlocutor.

Attacks of suffocating cough

Mr. Jacques was infected with the coronavirus with his wife. The first symptoms of the disease, which occurred to him on October 17 or 18 (I can’t remember exactly which one), didn’t seem very threatening.

“I started to get a sore throat when I swallowed, almost like angina, but the news is here for me. It was like the cold was starting to subside a bit. I called the family doctors. She suggested trying to get better with antibiotics, but I felt that there was still nothing good, so on the 20th the doctor ordered me to go to the Fever Clinic, he took samples both with his wife.

He called the same night and said we were both sick. The handcuffs seem even simpler, but some of my research did not like the doctors: there was a very pronounced decrease in platelets, it showed severe inflammation. Then the doctor demanded that I go to the hospital. I arrived the next day, ”said the politician.

E. Žakaris rose to a very high temperature, up to 40 degrees, which could not be knocked down in any way and began to suffer horrible coughing spells.

“When the coughing spells came, it was terrifying: you couldn’t breathe in or out. Without exaggeration, at that moment you are practically saying goodbye to this world. It seems that for a few more seconds and everything, nothing will be needed anymore “, – said E. Žakaris.

Studies have shown that a man has inflammation of both lungs. According to doctors, this is one of the most serious forms of the disease.

Lying in resuscitation

Doctors at the Šiauliai Republican Hospital began intensive treatment of the politician: they gave him antibiotics 4 times a day, which were changed several times, built droppers, and injected drugs into the abdomen to prevent blood clots.

Finally, due to a particularly difficult condition, it was decided to transfer E. Žakaris to the Department of Intensive Care and Resuscitation. Since the man was finding it difficult to breathe, he put on an oxygen mask.

“The oxygen mask eliminated that terrible suffocation during coughing fits. The temperature finally dropped.

Every two days he drank and kept looking at the blood, alternating antibiotics. Apparently, not everyone agreed at first. Then I felt that it improved. Of course, he couldn’t even think of a meal. If you’ve had a bite, this is it.

The legs also stopped holding. You went to the bathroom and clung to the walls, you inhaled immediately, you cannot breathe deeply, that breathing is shallow ”, recalls E. Žakaris.

E. Žakaris was glad that the hospital staff took great care of him: “When I had a problem going to the bathroom, I made a connection to the mask with a long connection. I never imagined in my life that such terrible things could happen. “

He was in the hospital for 12 days.

After 12 days in the hospital, the doctors decided to prescribe E. Žakaris for treatment.

“He did a smear, it is still positive, but he said that I am already safe for the environment and that it will still be better to recover in the family environment.” He added yet to take antibiotics and blurted out.
