Kindergartens and preschool groups are scheduled to open on May 18 and extend the quarantine regime until May 31, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis announced.

Those proposals were discussed at COVID-19 on Tuesday, and the government will make the decisions on Wednesday.

Solutions are also being sought to resume primary education more quickly, the resumption of special schools and nurseries for the disabled is being considered, the prime minister announced on Facebook on Tuesday.

Starting May 18, it is planned to allow the resumption of activities for providers of body care, solarium, tattoos (except the facial area), jewelry piercing (except the facial area).

The Prime Minister says that those who have direct direct contact with the human face cannot resume their activities at this time.

It is also proposed to allow patients to visit: with the permission of the treating physician and in accordance with procedures established by the head of the health care institution. We are looking for a way to allow dental providers to open securely.

Starting May 18, it is proposed to allow events for up to 30 spectators in open spaces, provided that a safe distance between individuals or groups of individuals is guaranteed and the event takes place without interruption.

Starting June 1, it is intended to allow events for up to 30 spectators indoors, provided that a safe distance between individuals or groups of people is ensured and the event is held without interruption.

The government also intends to allow more outdoor sports and, individually, sports clubs. Starting May 11, it is proposed to allow practical driving training for all types of vehicles.

Its aim is to allow people from Estonia and Latvia to enter Lithuania without mandatory two-week isolation. Prime Minister S. Skvernelis will discuss the specific date with his Latvian and Estonian colleagues on Wednesday.

According to the Prime Minister, it is planned to allow workers, studios and farmers to come from Poland in the near future, as well as without mandatory two-week isolation, as Poland has already allowed Lithuanian citizens.
