The government must approve four epidemiological criteria to determine when the quarantine can be lifted.

According to the prime minister, according to them, the quarantine would be revoked if in the last 14 days the total incidence of Covid-19 were 100 thousand. the population would not increase if there were no more than 0.5 percent of all positive inspection cases, if no more than five import cases were detected per week, and if at least 90 percent of new cases were related to points existing local hot.

The Cabinet of Ministers will also decide whether to allow restrictions on meeting in public places for groups of no more than five people to be lifted from early June. According to S. Skvernelis, this would also mean permission to play street basketball, soccer, and other “contact” games.

In addition, in response to requests from entrepreneurs, the government plans to extend the activities of restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, and other dining establishments until 11 p.m. These facilities are currently open from 8 a.m. at 10 p.m.

Massive events in the summer

The government must also give final approval to the procedure already discussed for the gradual relaxation of the permit for massive indoor and outdoor events.

According to the order blessed by ministers last week, which has not yet been approved at the meeting, events with up to 300 participants in open spaces and events in closed spaces with up to 100 people will be allowed starting June 1.

Starting June 16, up to 500 participants would be allowed in the open spaces, from July 1 to 700 participants, and from July 16 to 900 participants. At that time, events with 150 spectators can take place in the closed spaces from June 16, from July 1 to 200, from July 16 to 250, from August 1 to 300, from 16 to 350 participants.

Sports events, as S. Skvernelis said, are subject to the same conditions as other events. In open spaces, they can be held when no more than 300 spectators and participants gather, ensuring at least one meter distance between the spectators. In confined spaces, no more than 100 spectators and participants, a distance of two meters between spectators is guaranteed.

As of May 30, events are already allowed in open and closed spaces, but a maximum of 30 people can attend and the required distance between them must be maintained.

More flights from Europe

The border with Latvia is planned to be fully opened from June 1, which means that the checkpoints and posts that have been operating so far will be abolished.

The government also plans to allow more flights from European countries that do not have a high incidence of coronavirus. Arrival from June is expected to be allowed from those countries where the incidence of infection in the last two weeks did not exceed 25 cases per 100,000. population, according to the draft government resolution.

According to Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, the two-week isolation requirement will be negotiated together with Latvia and Estonia.

The Ministry of Health must publish weekly the list of countries from which people will not be isolated. According to S. Skvernel, Iceland, Slovenia, Greece, Croatia, Cyprus, Norway, Hungary, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Austria could now request such a list.

The quarantine was introduced in Lithuania on March 16.
