Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys questioned whether these people have the moral right to receive more vaccines. The president summoned Prime Minister Šimonytė and Health Minister Dulkis on the carpet. Nauseda demanded that the vaccine be abused and that a clear vaccination schedule be established.
The vaccine scandal continues in Šilalė. It turns out that not only the head of the Ambulansas company, which operates the private Šilalė ambulance station, but not the doctor Ričardas Ūselis, as well as his relatives, but also the Vilnius businessman Juozas Pranckevičius, were vaccinated against the coronavirus. The latter is the head of the Transmeda real estate group. He is also the brother of Ūsel’s wife, a former Ambulance shareholder.
“They are also expecting a second vaccine, but we will definitely contact the relevant authorities, the Ministry of Health, to find out if we are now obliged to vaccinate them with a second vaccine,” says Deputy Mayor Tadas Bartkus.
The people of Šilalė say with amazement that the people who came here from Vilnius got vaccinated without queuing:
“We live in a Lithuania such that people climb over their heads. “
“As you judge here, there is speculation and that’s it.”
“There was no bad vaccination, there was vaccination, again it is a kind of negligence, who has to control here, I cannot imagine.”
“Nobody does that, there are laws, there are rules, everyone has their turn.”
According to Šilalė Deputy Mayor Loranda Kalnikaitė, the curator of the Šbulalė Ambulance chief, presented the scandalous vaccination list, in which the vaccines are intended for the Ambulance chief, his wife and children. He is also a member of the Šilalė district council. Conservatives in the Šilalė branch have already succeeded in suspending its membership.
“The faction has met, it has participated in the meeting, membership in both the faction and the party has been suspended and we will decide in the near future. An investigation is being carried out, we will see if this party is eliminated,” he says Jonas Gudauskas, President of the Šilalė branch.
And when the scandal broke, this morning President Gitanas Nausėda summoned Health Minister Arūnas Dulkis and Prime Minister Ingrid Šimonytė. Dust promised to initiate random inspections, to establish a hotline for reporting violations. And the directors of the municipal administrations will control the vaccination process in medical institutions.
It is true that after the meeting, the presidential adviser Simon Krėpšta declared that this is too small. According to the president, the ministry must prevent abuses, establish a clear vaccination queue and establish a focal point.
“It is necessary to review the organization of vaccination, how to move from one priority to another, not at the level of an institution, but at the national level,” says Simon Krėpšta, adviser to the president.
The Minister of Health, Arūnas Dulkys, affirms that such control demanded by the president should not interfere with the vaccination process. It is true that the minister, when asked if the people who were dishonestly vaccinated had a second dose of the vaccine, spoke of morality.
“It’s a good question, I couldn’t answer it today because the situation is unique. What other solutions will we see? Here again, apparently, there will be two camps, whether the vaccine has been spilled or whether those people have the moral right to get more vaccinated. ”Said Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys.
And the head of the ambulance, Ūselis, who had been vaccinated and still came up with the idea of vaccinating his family members, did not want to speak to the media. It is true that Ūselis claimed to be the second unscrupulous shot for 15min.lt journalists over the weekend. And this morning, Hazel did not speak much on the phone, only confirmed that his wife’s brother had also been vaccinated against the coronavirus.
“Well, what about that. Received, that’s all. “Okay, everyone,” said Ričardas Ūselis, the Ambulance Chief.
Although the head of the ambulance did not agree to elaborate on the priority given to his family members and his wife’s brother, he later circulated a public letter lamenting the mistakes made. The company received a total of 21 vaccines, but less than half were reportedly used by company employees because some refused, others self-isolated.
Remigijus Žemaitaitis, a member of the mixed group of members of the Seimas, assures that the list of vaccines has been modified several times.
“Lying that someone has given up or something isolated is something that we will definitely find in people’s vaccines. These vaccines can also be transferred to the medical institution of Šilalė, a hospital owned by the municipality, where we said goodbye to the long-term director of the hospital on the consequences of Covid-19 not long ago, ”says Remigijus Žemaitaitis, a member of Seimas.
The vaccine scandal has exploded so much that volunteering has also been told in this story. After all, volunteers get vaccinated against coronavirus as a matter of priority if they volunteer for at least 16 hours on 14 consecutive days. According to Algirdas Radvila, Ambulance director, members of the Ūselis family have been vaccinated, as they have joined the ranks of volunteers.
The brother of Ūselis’s wife, Pranckevičius, was also registered. It is true that all of these people volunteered only on paper, but not with coronavirus patients. This fact was also confirmed by the Ambulance director, who received the vaccine, due to its quality.
“It’s interesting, he says, to carry, ride and help. It was the subject of such a simple conversation that it began to be born. He says, well, you really need to get out, but you still need to be insured. That was exactly the moment it came out, ”says Algirdas Radvila, Director of Quality Ambulances.
And, according to Žemaitaitis, they visited Šilalė for the last time in September.
“I just want to emphasize that none of them volunteered, they weren’t in the covid department or any other chapter. Maybe they will re-create a fairy tale in which they gave people vouchers to see the doctors somewhere in the polyclinic, ”says R. Žemaitaitis.
Doctors in medical institutions are being vaccinated against the coronavirus in the country. Doctors from the National Cancer Institute also received the first vaccine – more than 300 are planned to be vaccinated today, and the same number is scheduled for tomorrow. Doctors who work with coronavirus patients are vaccinated on a priority basis.
“The personnel of that unit are vaccinated first. And then, according to the current procedure, it is the personnel of our reception department who are really on the front line. Also resuscitation and operating room personnel,” said Sonata Jarmalaitė, director of the National Cancer Institute.
According to the Department of Statistics, a total of 22,549 people have already been vaccinated in Lithuania. Of these, more than 2,000 people over 65 years of age.
