Some countries that resume flights, tourism and resorts after the pandemic intend to accept only foreigners who present so-called “health passports”. Certificates from certified laboratories confirming that the arriving person’s coronavirus test is negative and that the test itself was performed no later than 72 hours before. However, how can Lithuanian citizens who are ready to relax in Greek or Cypriot resorts receive such a certificate?

From June 9. Cyprus, which resumes flights to Paphos and Larnaca, will not allow unauthorized passengers on board. June 15 tourism, and from July 1. Greece, which resumes international flights, will also require “medical passports”. Some Spanish tourist centers promise to demand them too. However, although coronavirus testing in Lithuania is conducted by 13 certified laboratories, including private ones, the Ministry of Health (SAM) did not grant them the right to test and certify individual clients for the coronavirus. As the UAB administrator, who conducts the coronavirus investigation, joked, it remains for a future tourist to call the 1808 line and lie that it is suffocating and feverish. Or that you just came from abroad. And what to do for a person who does not want to lie?
It turns out that not everything is so bad. Saulė Bieliauskienė, director of UAB Baltic Medics, assured that people could have a private test for the coronavirus a couple of weeks ago: “Initially, they couldn’t, and now they can. By order of Minister Aurelius Veryga. “
By order of the Minister of Health A.Veryga, on May 15. allowed molecular tests of Covid-19 from the nasopharynx to all citizens who wanted it. UAB Baltic Medics in Klaipeda announces that the price of the investigation is approximately 76 euros. The results can be found the next morning. And another institution, SK Impex Medical Diagnostics and Treatment Center, announced that said service and certificate cost 75 euros, and on Saturdays – 85 euros, because the samples would be transported to another laboratory. The results of the study could be found after 2 days.
These laboratories have been authorized by a decision of the Minister of Health, the Statewide Head of State Emergency Operations, to provide paid laboratory testing and sampling services for Covid-19 disease (coronavirus infection):
1. Baltic Doctors of the UAB
2. UAB Diagnostikos Laboratorija
3. UAB Medicine practices laboratory
