“The new Maserati MC20 is special news. It is a highly competitive combination of engineering and style in the sports car market that turns a new page in the history of the manufacturer. The MC20 has focused on the latest technology to ensure that the The driver not only experiences the feeling of a sports car, but also feels safe and comfortable. An exclusive element of the Maserati MC20 is the new Nettuno engine, which also uses technological solutions in Formula 1, says Karolis Neimantas, sales representative of Maserati.

The car will arrive to its first owners in April, it can already be ordered.

Priority for dynamic and aerodynamic properties

The Maserati MC20 has been designed to be able to storm the racetracks, while ensuring a comfortable, safe and dynamic ride on the road. Therefore, special attention was paid to the engine of this car. It is a completely new V-shaped 6-cylinder Nettuno petrol engine with two turbines. A distinctive feature of this engine is an innovative ignition system with a pre-ignition chamber not only main but also auxiliary. This technology is also used in the engines of Formula 1 cars. This makes the Nettuno the most advanced internal combustion engine currently installed in a car.

The latest cutting-edge technology enables the new engine to achieve up to 630 horsepower, ensuring exemplary dynamic performance from the MC20. From 0 to 100 km / h. accelerates in 2.9 seconds and accelerates from 0 to 200 km / h. it will only take 8.8 seconds. The Maserati MC20 has a top speed of 325 km / h. But that is not all. Maserati enters a new century of existence and the Olympics of the latest technological advances with the introduction of the electric version of the MC20.

The MC20 is an ultralight car that weighs less than 1,500 kg and, with a power of 630 hp, stands out in its class for the ratio of these two indicators. This is achieved by using selected quality materials and exploiting the full potential of carbon fiber without sacrificing comfort.

The car’s aerodynamics, which have been perfected down to the smallest detail, also contribute to the excellent dynamic properties. During the development of the Maserati MC20, more than two thousand hours were spent in the Dallara wind tunnel, and more than a thousand hours were dedicated to specialists working in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology. All this made it possible to create not only an exclusive design, but also a particularly aerodynamically efficient car body.

Driver oriented

Designed to experience the best emotions while driving, the new Maserati MC20 demonstrates the interior of the car, which has been designed to be as functional and distracting as possible for the driver. As a result, simple shapes with only a few sharp corners are used in the interior. To minimize driver distraction, the MC20’s interior uses dark colored materials to avoid distracting reflections from the windshield. The devices are arranged like a racing car, making them easy to use and visually see.

The need for the latest driver technology is not forgotten, which is why the MC20 is equipped with the latest Maserati MIA multimedia system. It uses the powerful Android Automotive operating system, which offers a completely new, innovative and more productive user experience focused exclusively on the needs of the driver.

Inside, the car has two displays, one on the center console and the other on the instrument panel. Both screens are 10.25 inches diagonal. This solution allows the driver to switch from one display to another faster and provides even better functionality.

The displays are covered with a special coating that allows information to be seen clearly even when exposed to direct sunlight, as well as avoiding distracting reflections. Nice little thing: when the screens are off, they are completely black and blend in perfectly with other interior items.

Drivers of the Maserati MC20 will be able to choose one of five driving modes. With the help of a special controller, it will be possible to select the WET (wet road surface), GT (normal) or SPORT modes. To select CORSA mode for driving on the race track, the controller must be held down for two seconds, and to deactivate the stability and traction controls, five seconds. This principle is chosen so that the driver does not choose one of these modes at random.

The new MC20 will be produced at the renovated Viale Ciro Menotti plant in Modena. A totally new and ecological paint base has also been installed in this plant. Buyers will be able to choose from six unique colors created exclusively for this model: Bianco Audace (white), Giallo Genio (yellow), Rosso Vincente (red), Blu Infinito (blue), Nero Enigma (black) and Grigio Mistero (gray).
