The positions of the Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) in the ranking announced on Wednesday have not changed: the university has shared 801-1000 positions among the best since 2018.
At that time, the positions of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) fell this year: VGTU shares 651-700 places with other higher education institutions this year (last year – 591-600 places), KTU was between 801–1000 places (last year – 751-800 seats).
Other Lithuanian higher education institutions do not belong to the thousand.
The ranking takes into account the reputation of universities in the academic community, evaluations of employers, students, citations in the scientific literature, internationality.
As in previous years, the universities of the United States remain at the top of the rankings: the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Stanford, Harvard and the California Institute of Technology, as well as the ten best universities in the United Kingdom: Oxford, Cambridge University, Imperial London College, Federal Institute of Technology.
