The decision to conduct the investigation was made at the commission meeting on May 27.
“We are explaining the circumstances of this campaign. We received a report on that campaign, we discussed it a bit with the members of the commission and we instructed the Political Parties and the Political Campaign Financing Control Unit to find out whether there were irregularities or not. Currently, information is being collected, when we have the answers, we will see what the situation is, ”L. Matjošaitytė told BNS.
Conservative Kęstutis Masiulis, a member of Seimas, appealed to the CEC regarding possible inadmissible upheaval by the government and Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis.
