According to the head of the Panevėžys Public Health Center, patients often tend to hide where they have recently visited, but it has already become clear that they had many contacts. Consequently, and it represented a threat to those around him.
“They went to the park in the Tulip Quarter. That must be taken into account. Look who you were in the park. It is very beautiful there and you can see what is happening in the banks: many people and the elderly. Those distances should be avoided a bit, ”says E. Vilčinskas.

“It’s worse when a person has no idea who they might have been infected with. This suggests that there may be more such people in that environment. So far, the situation is really under control. No one would really want to go back to quarantine. But okay whether residents maintain that awareness is very much up to us, “said Interior Minister Rita Tamašunienė.
At the moment, the government does not plan to close the borders again or resume compulsory use of masks, unless a couple of weeks of illness appear after an average of 10. However, a challenge is definitely before October, the Seimas elections. On voting days, the image in the neighborhood will be different from what we are used to seeing.
“The CEC raised the issue that everyone who came to vote would receive gloves, a mask and a disinfectant liquid,” said R. Tamašunienė.
According to the Minister, a special reserve will be established for the elections. The Central Election Commission estimated that two million masks, as well as disposable gloves and 10,000 liters of disinfectant, would be needed to provide only to voters. If so many safeguards were not enough, the state reserve would also be used. Members of electoral commissions will need masks, and not just them.
“When going to social institutions, nursing homes, you need to get even more resources, you need to practically look like a doctor so as not to bring infections to the institutions that are most at risk,” says R. Tamašunienė.
