In Lithuania, quarantine is extended and restrictions are tightened
On Sunday night, the government unanimously approved the new restrictions, which will take effect as soon as Tuesday night ends and begins Wednesday. Among the new restrictions is a ban on leaving the house unless you have to work, bury something or buy food. The operation of non-food stores will also be prohibited, with the exception of online sales. The quarantine runs until January 31.

The provision of contact services will also be prohibited. Hosting services will only be available in isolation. Unlike before, individual leisure services (not just general), sports training and sports clubs will be prohibited.
Primary education services will only be delivered remotely. If the children’s parents cannot work remotely, if there is nowhere to leave the children, services will be provided.
At the meeting, Prime Minister I. Šimonytė hinted that benefits will be provided to residents who care for children, as well as those who are not working due to additional restrictions.
