After contacting Birute Stolyte, specialist in the Division of Dissemination and Communication of the Department of Statistics, it was clear that information had recently been received about 2 new deaths of young people, whose main cause of death was the coronavirus. However, people died not on the last day, but earlier.
One of these deaths was recorded in the age group 20-29 years. The person may have died on January 5 at the age of 28. He died at his home in southeastern Lithuania.
The next death was of a 38-year-old person. The man died on March 2, at his home, possibly in Vilnius.

The National Public Health Center (NVSC) also did not have much information on these 2 cases. According to the NVSC, there is no evidence that individuals have had comorbidities. According to NVSC, one person died in Kaunas County and another in Vilnius County.
According to the official Lithuanian Statistics website, a total of 4 people died from COVID-19 in Lithuania in the 20-29 age group, and 19 people in the 30-39 age group.
