It will need to turn clockwise at night from Saturday to Sunday.

The winter timetable is valid until the end of March.

Although the Lithuanian Government, the European Commission and the European Parliament support the idea of abandoning the twisting of clocks twice a year, the majority of Member States still do not support the decision.

Last March, the European Parliament approved a proposal to prevent Member States from changing in 2021. It is proposed that the last time that clocks in EU countries that choose daylight savings time be turned on on the last Sunday in March 2021, and those who wish to maintain winter time do so on the last Sunday of October 2021.

In winter, daylight hours start earlier in the morning and last less at night compared to daylight saving time.

It was decided to introduce winter and summer time to make better use of daylight hours. Critics say changing times can be detrimental to health.
