Yesterday, 14 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in connection with the outbreak at the Smalininkai nursing home in Jurbarkas district. Another 12 cases are related to the outbreak at Klaipėda Medical Nursing Hospital, where a total of 56 cases of infection were recorded: 46 patients and 10 employees.
10 cases of infection confirmed on Friday are related to the outbreak in the Gargždai Hospital Nursing Department, 7 of which are patients and 3 staff members. An estimated 9 new cases of coronavirus infection are related to the outbreak at the Zarasai welfare home. In addition, outbreak-related infection cases were reported yesterday in furniture manufacturing companies operating in Klaipėda district, Kazlų Rūda, and in a fertilizer manufacturing company operating in Kėdainiai. In Telšiai county, cases of infection related to an outbreak in a food business were recorded, in Zarasai – an outbreak in a sewing business.
Outbreaks with two or more cases of coronavirus infection were detected on Friday in Klaipėda Maria Montessori Kindergarten School, Kaunas Suzuki Primary School, Kaunas Garliava Jonučiai Progymnasium District, Klaipėda Gilija Primary School, the District Basic School from Rokiškis Panemunėlis, Jok, In Ukmergė nursery-kindergarten “Žiogelis”.
