The National Public Health Center (NVSC) reports that 252 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Lithuania last day. 97 of them were registered in Vilnius, 43 in Klaipėda, 39 in Kaunas, 23 in Šiauliai counties. Another 20 cases were recorded in Panevėžys, 10 Tauragė, 9 Telšiai, 6 Alytus and 5 Marijampolė counties..

After contact with people confirmed by coronavirus, epidemiologists estimated that 154 people were infected last day, based on currently available data. In addition, 5 import cases were recorded: 2 from Belgium, 1 from Poland, Ukraine and Russia. At that time, the circumstances of the infection in 62 people were unclear.

Most of the outbreaks were detected in treatment and training institutions in Klaipeda County.

An estimated 9 cases of infection are related to the outbreak at the Palanga Rehabilitation Hospital. Two more cases in Klaipeda are associated with an outbreak in the Rotary Club, and 1 case with outbreaks in Gilija Primary School, Klaipėda Ernestas Galvanauskas Vocational Training Center, Klaipėda Basketball School and Lithuanian Maritime School. One case is also related to an outbreak in the Department of Psychiatry at the Klaipeda Seafarers Hospital in Švėkšna.

At present, a total of 7,521 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Lithuania, 4,276 people are still ill, and 3,097 have recovered.

14 of them are treated in the ward, 6 are on oxygen therapy. All patients are declared to be in satisfactory health. Four patients are treated in the intensive care unit, one with artificial lung ventilation.

435 KUL workers were screened prophylactically and were not diagnosed with coronavirus.
