On Sunday, the National Center for Public Health confirmed that the grandfather who cared for the child in self-isolation had contracted the coronavirus. The boy was cared for in the Tauragė district and the grandfather was examined in Vilnius.

The person is caring for an infected grandson on a farm in the Tauragė district. Researched on diseases in the family. When he arrived at the farm on July 15, he did not visit any place because he had bought enough food, ”reported the National Center for Public Health.
11 cases
According to data from the Kėdainiai branch of the National Center for Public Health, 11 cases of coronavirus have been officially confirmed in the Kėdainiai district. The sick child is the eleventh person in the area with a coronavirus.
All other contacts who have been in contact with people previously infected with coronavirus in our area are also being investigated. There are no new confirmed cases yet.
“People who have been in contact with all other confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Kedainiai district have been studied. So far, we have not received any information about new infections. Now the results are like this, but the data is constantly updated, “said S. Buinovskienė.
The wheel expands
On Monday morning, the National Center for Public Health announced that the circle of people infected with Kėdainiai was expanding.
On Sunday, two cases were confirmed for Kaunas County residents. It was established that people became infected after communicating with relatives of Kėdainiai. Seven individuals had close contact. Currently, nine cases of infection in Lithuania are already associated with this outbreak.
