“As far as we know, officials are clarifying the circumstances that occurred after the end of the acquisition, during which the rapid tests were purchased. As already mentioned, a pre-trial investigation is currently underway, so we do not have an opportunity to provide more information, ”he said.

L.Bušinskaitė notes that the rapid tests purchased are of high quality, appropriate and, as previously announced, very clear conclusions have been received from medical and scientific experts on their use.

Therefore, they will be used as planned. There are no questions about their quality: These questions have already been answered by specially used experts who have evaluated and provided expert opinions free of charge, ”he said.

The BNS recalls that the study is based on the purchase of rapid tests for coronavirus by the National Laboratory of Public Health (NSPL).

The pre-trial investigation was initiated due to the activities of the company that provides the evidence, Profarma. Possible fraud, forgery of documents, money laundering and misuse are investigated.

A.Veryga has said that to his knowledge the investigation is related to what happened at the company after the purchase with financial flows, and the evidence itself is of high quality.
