Vaxzervia (formerly AstraZeneca) vaccine is administered in Vilnius to elderly people (over 65 years) who have not yet been contacted, adult graduates, representatives of education, participants in foreign missions and people suffering from chronic diseases.
The list includes journalist and traveler Orijus Gasanov (34), who has had a chronic disease since childhood: bronchial asthma.
On Friday night, O. Gasanov shared on his social network what path he had to take to register for the vaccine.
“It just came to our notice then. Yesterday afternoon (Thursday, – Editor’s note) I received a message from my mother – I sent a link with an invitation (with chronic diseases) to get vaccinated against COVID-19 next weekend. . I have had bronchial asthma since childhood, I know it. When I saw that the link suffix “.com” was sent and that all the words were in English, I immediately wrote to him to send me some virus or ordinary nonsense (after everything, it must be with a more serious ending LRV.LT, etc.).
And yet yesterday was April 1. A few minutes later, my mother posted a message from the Vilnius city municipality page. At that point, I jumped into the air, stopped my work, called my editor, informed myself that the new article would be late. I explained that it was on the magic list: I could get vaccinated this weekend.
And then my attempts to vaccinate began. I click on all the links, gather what I need. Strip that I do not meet the requirements. Hmmm, I think, nonsense. My asthma is all I need. I called a doctor, I called another. In eHealth, I find that I am registered in a polyclinic where I have not been for about 15 years. There I call the secretary, the head of the department and finally the vaccine manager. Everyone checks why and what is wrong. At night, he announces that he really has to succeed.
I try again, but nothing. I call the hotline, hang up the receiver for 40 minutes, and decide I probably don’t work anymore (because at 9pm). I think I’ll have to call early in the morning. I call again and wait, I wait a long time: the musician is playing, no one is speaking. I think, well, maybe it’s not working yet, maybe it’s too early (8am).
I call around 10am, the response panel complains that they can’t verify anything because they can’t access the system. It asks if my disease code J45 (asthma) has been entered in e-health. I confirm – really submitted, give me the vaccine. The lady says we should wait for the lunch information to be updated. Base, maybe my data will get there.
Don’t fall because I’m trying 12:00; 12:10; 12:20; 12:30, I try over and over again. I call everyone back in a row, I ask them: what to do? It says try it at 1pm. Okay, exactly at that time, at 1pm, for me filming the show, via Zoom online, well, but what you won’t do with the vaccination. I speak on the show, answer questions from Asta Stasaityte-Masalskiene, and at the same time try to register again. Funny because it fails again.
Well, I’m not on those lists of them. I almost cut it off, but then Andrius Tapinas’s post continues to appear, that there are still vaccines, take them. Yes, yes, I know perfectly well that there is, I see, but it doesn’t hit me.
And here is 5:29 pm It is the moment when the doors are miraculously opened, I join and allow myself to choose the place and time. I choose, the confirmation arrives. Everything, I did it.
I will achieve what I have been dreaming of for years. What he was looking for for money in the Maldives, Emirates and Egypt was what he envied for those who had already received it. I will get what is our ticket to a more normal world. My first dose of the vaccine will be tomorrow.
More information. about pre-vaccinations are here: https://vakcina.vilnius.lt Photo: from my 35th COVID test, in the Maldives, Maafushi Island Clinic. So far, I have tested more than 40 times, in various parts of the world, “he wrote.
