Herb festival in Palanga: a sea of ​​people, a fair and a swing like never before in Lithuania

There have not yet been changes of this kind in the country, say the organizers: The idea was to make a change like in Bali, Indonesia. Lithuania had no such. This is the first project. If it works, we hope that more of those changes will come out, ”said one of the event organizers, Živilė Jokminaitė Dolgich. So far this is a pilot project. Later, if the waves of the Baltic Sea and the coastal climate do not resist, the idea of ​​a swing on the beach can develop strongly.

The report to the media mentions that the swing created by the installation artist Vytenis Zagorskis and opened on the occasion of the Herbal Festival invites not only to swing, but also to accompany the rest of the summer with a high heart. The natural woodwork is decorated with a huge heart made of plants, reminding that health can also be drawn from Lithuanian nature.

“We often forget that Lithuanian medicinal plants have many healing powers. Every home pharmacy should have the so-called sacred trio: valerian, hawthorn and herb ”, say Indrė Šumskienė and Edita Česnavičienė, co-authors of the idea of ​​swing, representatives of Valentis. Health experts say that herbs not only strengthen our hearts, but also improve our general well-being.

According to E. Česnavičienė, the main purpose of the swing idea is to encourage people to strengthen not only the heart, but also to improve their emotional state with the help of herbs. “This year we have decided that people lack the resurrection of everyday, earthly concerns, to ascend higher to heaven, to admire it and to gain strength.”

On the occasion of the unveiling of an impressive gift to Palanga on the shores of the Baltic Sea, Loreta Sungailienė, TV presenter, folk performer and promoter of ethnic culture, spoke about herbal traditions. Together with the initiator of the project “Herbal Tinctures Valentis” and the folk jazz group, he donated a wonderful musical program.

“We have given concerts in various corners of Lithuania, but there is an indescribable feeling when singing on the sandy shore of the Baltic Sea. My heart is very lively now, ”Loreta said.

According to Loreta, Žolinė is a crossroads of summer and autumn, when the great fieldwork is completed and it is a great opportunity to relax, unwind, and calmly communicate with loved ones and friends. “Nature is maturing, it is blessed by the highest powers, and we are grateful to share our happiness and share the happiness of fullness,” Loreta said in her communication with the curious. Swing contractors and organizers hope that the impressive building can delight tourists until the early days of fall.
