When the quarantine lasts for months instead of weeks, greasy dishes are gradually replaced by vegetables. We note that buyers are increasingly interested in so-called suitable food – favorable food for muscles and nerves ”, says V. Juodkazienė.
According to the food expert, a healthy diet consists of balanced meals that saturate the body with only valuable substances, do not load the body with unnecessary and harmful elements. A balanced diet strengthens muscles and provides energy, but it is necessary not only for athletes, but also for everyone: healthy eating reduces fatigue, anxiety and tension.
“It is important for the muscles that the diet is provided with protein and magnesium, in addition to many fruits and vegetables, good fats and carbohydrates should be consumed daily. These are abundant in whole grain products, rice, nuts. Healthy carbohydrates strengthen our muscles and brains giving them energy, but sugar and saturated fat must be reduced. Vegetables, lean meats and whole grains are the most important components of healthy foods, enriching the body with vitamins, minerals and fiber that provide energy for the whole day ”, says V.
