“Preparations for a European immunity passport are also underway; this does not duplicate it, we will simply confirm our national passage in Lithuania as soon as the European one is in place, but these processes will be merged into one later,” the Minister explained. . of Economy and Innovation.

He also noted that this would basically be the type of project that the capital city municipality set out to implement in Vilnius last month.

“This is an EIM project proposal. There are still many debatable questions that the Government has to answer in turn, we need the approval of other colleagues. If we had that support, we could talk about those activities that are currently limited: indoor catering, events, bigger events, sports clubs with more people and things like that ”, pointed out A. According to the minister, if the government approves this idea, it could be implemented in a few weeks, as the Registration Center is already preparing a European immunity passport.

“But there are still logistical questions to be answered: who will pay for the test? How will it be done? “These are the things that the institutions responsible for the health field have to say,” said A. Armonaitė.
