“I agree that this is an urgent matter, as the construction of the barrier would greatly facilitate our SBGS to carry out its tasks: blocking the entry of illegal immigrants into the territory of Lithuania”, V. Malinionis evaluated the proposal to build the border quickly.
To do this, he said, the business and engineering organizations capable of doing this work must be mobilized.
“The Defense Support Fund has brought together a group of organizations, including engineering, security and catering companies, and we will present that organized group to the Minister of the Interior so that she knows that there is such a tool, companies ready to work. if necessary. “We spoke with ten companies for about three hours. “It might work at first, but let’s remember that there is a game with an opponent here. We know that these immigrants are leaving the Lukashenko regime and that is something organized. In the practice of illegal migrants, and here there is nothing new in the history of mankind, there are methods such as the massive accumulation of migrants in a certain place and the massive transition – 10-20 thousand. it can be fixed, ”warned the reserve colonel.
He came up with a crazy idea: migrants would guard the country’s border
As a result, he said, we must think about how to proceed. To do this, V. Malinionis presented, according to his own estimation, an idea that at first sounded crazy.
“There is another aspect that would seem crazy at first, but the more I go, the more I think it can be effective: using the migrants themselves to border the border. This is also nothing new, it has been the case in the history of humanity: preparing young people, helping them to integrate into the EU so that they can serve the EU, ”said V. Malinionis.
According to him, SBGS would prepare the migrants and manage their work at the border.
“In three months, our illegal immigrants would become the force that could protect our border. (…) I am not analyzing the legal restrictions, the agreements and the EU treaties here, but that would be effective.
