Left Kaunas “Žalgiris” for a chance at the National Basketball Association (NBA) Nigel Hayes he had his chance.
The forward, along with another player who has made a strong mark in Europe, Zach Auguste, will show off his skills at the Boston Celtics next week.

Hayes already has NBA experience: He has briefly played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings, but has only played 9 games in the strongest league in the world. After leaving his homeland, he played alone in the ranks of Galatasaray in Istanbul and Žalgiris in Kaunas.
The 26-year-old 203cm forward scored 9.5 points (44 percent from 3s), 3.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 9.8 utility points in 27 minutes in the Euroleague last season.
After failing to get involved in the NBA, Hayes has plenty of spare options – many Euroleague clubs take notice, of which Athens Panathinaikos is the most active.
